External drainage completed

Every weekend we pay a visit to our site and this weekend was no different. The external drainage was completed and we could check them against the downpipe locations on the plans. This was pretty quick!!! We have been told that next week frames should be arriving on site as well. We are all excited to see the frames going up and the house beginning to take shape. Also the soil dumped into neighbouring block during excavation was taken off and poured around the slab.

We met few of our neighbours as well who were also around to see the progress on their homes. A number of houses have started building and street is beginning to take shape as well.

  2. Did you do some change with the floor plans? do you mind sharing it?

I am planning to make the study room as a guest room and will put an IT nook on the living area and remove the formal dining area.

    1. Mark, we have changed most of the floor plan to suit our needs. Here is a quick reference

      Ground Floor changes:
      1. Converted study into a bedroom with a robe
      2. Added shower to the W/C
      3. Added a storage space under the stairs
      4. Converted WIP to butlers pantry and added a window, got a gas connection and added a burner.
      5. Extended home theatre into dining to make it heaps bigger and added sliding doors

      First Floor changes
      1. Extended nursery outwards and converted it into a bedroom and closed its opening into master bedroom and added a robe
      2. Relocated the WIL on the other side of main bedroom.
      3. Merged the 3 bedrooms to just 2 and we now have 3 huge bedrooms in total.
